About Me

With over twenty years in journalism, Shweta has worked for 3 National News Channels and a Regional News Channel. Starting her career with Zee News in Delhi, she went on to join the founding team of Star News, in Mumbai. She shifted to business news with CNBC Awaaz where she was part of the core founding team which designed and executed the editorial line, style and look of the channel. While working with Awaaz, she became part of the founding team of the regional channel CNBC Bajaar. Reporting, Producing, Anchoring, designing, and writing news, documentary and infotainment shows on Television & Digital platforms has been her core areas of work. She continues to work as faculty for Broadcast and Digital Journalism in postgraduate media colleges for over ten years in Mumbai. She was amongst the first 35 journalists selected by google for their first batch of Fact-Checking, TOT workshop in 2018. She is Google certified News Verification Trainer and a Fact-Checker. She now works as a Freelance journalist/Creative Content Creator/Storyteller and a communication consultant for various organizations. She also drives her venture, ‘The Future Skills Company.’ Founded in 2019, the company works with schools and colleges with a mission to skill the next-gen.
